Morning Comet II. This painting was created on April 22-23, 1995. It is my second attempt at painting this scene, and was my first painting which used an airbrush. I had imagined what a bright comet might look like from near the Spacewatch Telescope on Kitt Peak. With the silhouetted dome in the foreground and the city lights in the distance, the comet offset by a crescent moon would offer an interesting scene. The painting is acrylic on 16 by 20 inch canvas board.
