While looking through images taken by the Mars rovers, I found a picture of a really interesting looking pile of rocks along with some hills and nearby circular features which my sweetie interpreted as volcanic in origin rather than impact as I suspected. This image puts the Opportunity rover near the location that it took the image from. Can't wait to go visit this site in person!

The painting was completed on August 6, 2020. It is a 9 by 12 inch acrylic on canvas.
