A. Introduction

This document contains information about the Forte[tm] Developer 7 Code Coverage Tool (tcov).

Note - No changes have been made to the tcov tools since the Sun WorkShop[tm] 6 release.

For last-minute information on the Program Performance Analysis Tools, and the utilities provided with these tools, see the Program Performance Analysis Tools readme.

Note - If your Forte Developer 7 software is not installed in the /opt directory, ask your system administrator for the equivalent path on your system.

 

B. About tcov

This readme describes the tcov profiling tools, which can be used to generate a detailed statement-by-statement coverage profile of program's execution. See the tcov(1) man page or the manual Program Performance Analysis Tools for details on how to use these tools. To view or to obtain a copy of this manual, go to http://docs.sun.com.

This release of tcov is available on the Solaris[tm] operating environment (SPARC[tm] Platform Edition) versions 7, 8 and 9.

There are no new features in the tcov profiling tools in this release.
