Using the Mouse
Summary:
- Use the left mouse button to select items from the Pull-down Menu at the
top of the SAOtng display.
- Use the left mouse button to execute the command buttons at the left
of the SAOtng display.
- Within the SAOtng display, use the left mouse button to manipulate
regions, the middle button to
control panning and zooming, and the
right button to control
contrast/bias.
- Within the SAOtng display, press the Shift key and middle
mouse button at the same time to activate the cross-hair cursor.
- Within the SAOtng display, press the Shift key and left mouse
button twice to select a point on the image. When a point is
selected, the Redisplay Image menu option will retrieve and
redisplay a new section of the image centered on this point. Press
these two keys three times in succession to select a point and
retrieve and redisplay a new section of the image. (This feature is
especially useful when you have displayed a full image at reduced zoom
and want to select and display a particular section. It is assumed
that the currently displayed image is only part of the full image on
disk; otherwise no new section extraction is performed.) Press these
two keys once to unselect the current mouse position.
- Clicking a mouse button means depressing and releasing the button
with no mouse movement.
- Clicking and Dragging a mouse button means depressing the button,
moving the mouse, and then releasing the button.
