- A native Windows launcher ("ImageJ.exe") to enable drag and drop of files and allow the Java heap size to be set in a dialog.
- RGB stack to 8 bit color stack conversion. [in v1.28]
- Save brightness/contrast settings in TIFF headers. [in v1.27]
