131P/Mueller 2

This image of Periodic Comet Mueller 2 was obtained on 1997 December 31 with Spacewatch. The image is 4.5 arcminutes square with north at the top and west on the right. This image is the result of co-adding 3 images of the comet, shifting each so the the comet registers. The comet is near the center of the frame and has a faintly visible coma, especially towards the lower left. Click on the thumbnail for the full view of the comet.
