Fireball represents what a large meteoroid might look like close up as it enters the Earths atmosphere at around 60kilometers altitude as it breaks up into smaller pieces. I used some ISS astronaut imagery as a guide to the Earth below and added an Aurora and clouds to the original image. I worked on this painting during IAAA visits to Biosphere 2 in late 2015.

The painting was completed in December 2015. It is a 12 by 24 inch acrylic on canvas.
