On our way from Grenoble to Chamonix, I snapped the picture below at a pass high in the Alps. When my Dad saw it, he said "I've been there before. I think the Germans were chasing us..".

We went to go see the famed temples at Kajuraho, and also took cycle-rickshaws to this nearby town:

Here's a cool place.. literally! You are looking ( West, I believe ) down from the headwaters of the Beas river in Himachal Pradesh, northern India, north of the ( Indian definition of ) resort town of Manali. The peaks you see are 20,000 to 22,000 feet in height. Ladakh is to the left.
