HiRISE (High-Resolution Imaging Science Experiment) is a high-resolution camera currently in orbit around Mars on the MRO (Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter) spacecraft. We have the ability to take very detailed images of Mars in color and stereo.HiRISE will be completing its primary mission in November of 2008; two years of extended science have been approved through 2010. MRO will also continue to do relay and cooperative science with the Phoenix mission, as well as reconnaissance of landing sites for the Mars Scence Laboratory.
