Jukebox
Also on line is a 600 CD "jukebox" for on-line storage and retrieval
of up to 380GB of astronomical and planetary imaging data.
We do provide access to the datasets on the
Jukebox to PIRL internal machines and affiliated clients. If you
aren't, then the above link won't work for you.
The Jukebox driver software has gotten flakey and expensive, so the
Jukebox has been taken off line. The data from the jukebox has
been moved to a JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks) in the PIRL systems,
and can be accessed via the /archive filesystem location.
Datasets currently on line include:
- Clementine Lunar raw, UVVIS, and 6 color basemap images
- Galileo raw images and data products
- Hubble Guide Star Catalog
- USNO A2.0 and SA1.0 star catalogs
- Mars Global Surveyor images
- Viking raw images and global basemaps
- Voyager raw images and the Galilean satellite basemaps
- Magellan Venus FMAP database.
Many user data archives are also maintained.
