PIRL operates an anonymous FTP site. You may access the FTP site via the above URL, or you may access it via a command line FTP client in the following manner:

your_machine_prompt> ftp pirlftp.lpl.arizona.edu Point your command line FTP client to our FTP server

Name (pirlftp.lpl.arizona.edu): anonymous Our FTP server will ask you for your username, for anonymous access, use the name anonymous.

Guest login ok, send your complete e-mail address as password. Password: your_e-mail@your_machine.wherever Our FTP server will next ask for a password, and it will ask you for your e-mail address in place of a password for the guest login.

ftp> You should then be let in, given an informative greeting message, and allowed to roam the FTP site.
