This view shows the appearance of the wedges region after the closure of Bands B, C, and D in the reconstruction, described in the text (Sec. III. B.1) and shown stepwise in Figure 6. Dotted lines mark the locations of the closed bands, where various older features realign. Gores may reflect inelastic strain or inaccuracies in the reconstruction. Lengthening across the zone was about 15 percent. Band A (a probable strike-slip fault) could not be reconstructed due to a lack of apparent piercing points.
