Due to foreshortening effects imposed by the extreme southern location of the fault and the resultant oblique viewing angle of the Voyager 2 images, this orthographic reprojection was prepared in order to reconstruct fault offset. The cross indicates the center of the reprojection, and piercing points are labeled. Offset of 42 km is indicated by two line segments intersecting the sides of Cyclades Macula. Prior to the development of the fault displacement these two line segments would have been collinear. The distance between X and X' is 810 km.
