Figure 2. Astypalaea Linea and key features. Key features of the fault and nearby terrain are shown on Voyager 2 image 1372J2. Astypalaea Linea spans the interval from point X to at least point X', a distance of 810 km, more than 29° on the Europan globe. It is not known how much farther the fault extends than point X'. Astypalaea Linea includes rhomboid Cyclades Macula (CM) and possible rhomboid Rs. The "Eastern Trace" (E) of the fault meets Libya Linea at X, approximately where it also meets a possible extension of the fault called the "Western Trace" (W). Expansions in the fault trace occur at the intervals opposite c' and between a and b'. The fault truncates Thasus Linea (T), Lineaments T', L, and L' (T', L, L'), d thin lineaments a-e and a'-e'. It also separates elevated regions p and p'. A vague extension of the linea at point a seems to cross the fault. The fault also merges with Thasus Linea at point 1. The fault is cut by Delphi Flexus (D), Sidon Flexus (S), and Cilicia Flexus (C). Gray band Thynia Linea is at Ty and the crater Rhiannon is at Rh.
